won't you ...? (invitation)

A negative question with masen ka is the standard polite invitation: mimasen ka means won't you watch it with me. It sounds softer than mashou because it leaves the decision to the listener. Accept with ii desu ne or mashou.

  Ashita eiga o mimasen ka.

  Would you like to see a movie tomorrow?

• 一緒いっしょにコーヒーを飲のみませんか。

  Issho ni koohii o nomimasen ka.

  Won't you have coffee with me?
